Need 6 stars for sure. Visually the sandwiches are stunning. I had the Grotto and got to sample the wife's Black and Blue and both were fantastic. The fish in the Grotto was good, big chunky pieces grilled just right and then, THAT sauce! Really good. The roast beef and blue cheese combination on the Black and Blue was perfect. Really good roast beef. Sandwiches are made up quick right in front of you. I will definitely be making the 2+ hour drive to go back sometime.

First time here as a friend suggested it. I knew it was gonna be good when food influencer snack sensei came inside. I got the beach bum! $20 dollar sandwich with tip. Super fresh ingredients and very well worth it. We took our food to the beach to enjoy the sunshine!

We stopped in for lunch on our way out of Santa Cruz. And we are so glad we did! When we arrived, the line wasn't too long. There are menus and pictures to assist with the ordering. The inside is spacious, with several tables and seating. The outside, has seating as well, a few in the front, but several more seats in the back. There are coolers containing drinks and desserts/ice cream, as well as chips, for purchase. Here are the items we got: Olipop Soda, Lemonade and Jalapeño chips The Smoke Show - hands down, the best sandwich we have ever had! There was so much flavor from the first bite. It's surprisingly lighter notes of flavor, although it's a brisket sandwich. We will come back for that one! The Yacht Club - the flavors here really complement the smokiness of the chicken. It was richer in flavor, but had a good balance with the sun-dried tomato's.

Not a sandwich person per se but want to try out this place due to the good review...It's by far the best Ruben sandwich Ihad. Hubby's brisket sandwich is good but as good as mine. Service is friendly as well.

Quick and efficient service -- for three sandwiches we were probably in and out the door in about 10 minutes or less. That is extremely good time for a sandwich shop serving 'wiches with complex ingredients! We ordered the Neptune, the Grotto and the Yacht CLUB. Everything was seasoned incredibly well, the proteins were of good quality and generous portion and the vegetables were fresh and crisp. Awesome place to grab a quick lunch in Santa Cruz and the parking nearby is not too crazy either. We found a spot within minutes of arriving after struggling to find ANY parking spot at one of the brunch spots nearby. The restaurant does have a smoked meat smell on the inside which can be quite strong and unpleasant to those who do not like it. But you're in and out so quickly that it hardly matters, and you can certainly wait outside. They'll buzz you when your order is ready! Would absolutely return for lunch the next time I am in Santa Cruz.

On a beautiful day visiting Santa Cruz, we decided to venture a bit from the boardwalk for a sandwich lunch. Okay, 20 minutes isn't far and its always good to get some exercise in right? Upon approaching the deli, we could view their pictorial menu right in their front window and smell the cooking of the meats in their smokers. What a concept! All of their meats are house smoked. I ordered the Giant Dipper and hubby got the Beach Bum. The absolutely best sandwich I have ever eaten! The tender thin sliced beef with caramelized onions and mushrooms is out of this world. Oh, and you get a cup of au jus in case you want more flavor. The sandwich alone is amazing but I had to dip dip because the jus was there. Over the top! It was a bit salty for me so go light. I woofed down the entire sandwich and did have dinner that night because this is a meal. Hubby loved his sandwich which is not easy because he is a pastrami snob. The tender meat, flavorful slaw and of course the marble rye. Hubby also got a slice of the Italian cream cake for later in the evening. He'd never had this before and ended up really enjoying it. There is plenty of seating and street parking. It's a leisurly walk from the Boardwalk as you do have to go uphill on the path over the waterway but well worth it. I can't wait to come back here and I know you will have the same experience. The price of the sandwiches is fair for the quality and volume of meats. Please support this local business!

Does Yelp offer 6 stars? Well it should, especially for Seabright Deli! We were in Santa Cruz recently and craving sandwhiches. Fellow Yelpers raved about Seabright claiming it could be the best sandwhiches in town...and they were absolutely right! Seabright is a small sandwhich shop with some street parking. Sneeze and you may pass right by it. The closer you get to her front door, you can smell the wonderful aroma of their smoker/bbq. Step inside and pick up a menu and select your sandwhich. Can't decide? Let their hospitable and helpful staff guide you through their menu. Our party ordered: Neptune(their most popular), Beach Bum, and Surfer. For once we were all quiet during a meal because we were too busy enjoying our food. My picky teenage niece said the Surfer was possibly the best sandwhich she has ever eaten and we agreed all of our sandwhiches were outstanding. From their bread to fresh ingredients and aioli spreads, Seabright knows how to make an unforgettable sandwhich! Be sure to save room for dessert! Their banana pudding is made fresh daily and is absolutely to die for. Not too sweet and so satisfying. Thank you Seabright for serving the best sandwhiches in town!!! Can't wait to return!

We were craving a sandwich after a day at the beach and chose Seabright Deli based on its great reviews. It did not disappoint! They were pretty busy on a Saturday (late) afternoon, but we just barely beat their pre-closing rush. The interior had minimal decor and a casual ambiance. They did have indoor seating, but also some outdoor seating by the entrance, as well as a little back patio. My friend and I both ordered The Neptune and picked out Fentiman's Victorian Lemonade and Fentiman's Pink Ginger (bottled) from the fridge. We were given a buzzer to wait for our food, and we snagged some seating in the meantime. The sandwiches did take a long time to come out, but they were clearly slammed with orders. After a while, the owner began turning customers away, since they were super busy and it was getting close to 4PM. The food was worth the wait though! Our sandwiches were huge and so delicious. The combination of Basil Pesto, Sun-dried Tomato Aioli, and Rosemary-Garlic Aioli was awesome, and I loved the crunchiness of the vegetables. The Toasted Francese Roll was tasty but super soft, so I would maybe get a sturdier bread next time. Otherwise, it was perfect! We were already super full, but the owner was sweet enough to give us some free Jeni's Ice Cream. The flavors we tried were Brambleberry Crisp and Gooey Butter Cake (his favorite), and both were fantastic. Overall, perfect for a post-beach meal!
